• Reign of Terror

  Robespierre took over France and ruled as a dictator during this he killed his fellow leading rebels under crime of his own saying

• The Jacobins
  Sep 1792

  The members of governmental change where members of the Jacobin during this time they took over the government and reduced Louis to a citizen

• War of Prussia and Astria
  Jul 1, 1792

  Prussia said they would destroy France if they harmed a member of the royal family the response was to raid all the jails to find and kill Louis which was rumored to be hiding in a jail

• The Legislative Assembly
  Jul 1791

  This group enforced and made the laws. Also had to right to declare wars

• Louis Tries to Escape
  Jul 1791

  Louis and his family tried to escape France and go to Astra. This escape failed and created more enemies and sealed Louis's fate.

  It made the church lose its power and land. In doing this The Assembly lost some of the peasants support.

  It was their constitution showing people's freedom

  Rumors that nobles where hiring outlaws to terrorize peasants that started revolts and it made Louis leave the Palace of Verailles

  Their old meeting area was locked down and they wrote their constitution in a indoor tennis court
