The Nabonidus Cylinder proves Belshazzar did indeed exist. This gives evidence that The Book Of Daniel is historically correct. The Shishaq Relief is a series of inscriptions recounting pharaoh Shishaq's invasion of Judah and Israel in 925 BC. Why Transition From Water to Land is Impossible Evolutionists claim that in "enough time", a species dwelling in water somehow stepped onto land and was transformed into a land-dwelling species. There are a number of obvious facts that render such a transition impossible: 1. Weight-bearing: Sea-dwelling creatures have no problem in bearing their own weight in the sea. However, most land-dwelling creatures consume 40% of their energy just in carrying their bodies around. Creatures making the transition from water to land would at the same time have had to develop new muscular and skeletal systems (!) to meet this energy need, and this could not have come about by chance mutations. 2. Heat Retention: On land, the temperature can change quickly, and fluctuates over a wide range. Land-dwelling creatures possess a physical mechanism that can withstand such great temperature changes. However, in the sea, the temperature changes slowly and within a narrower range. A living organism with a body system regulated according to the constant temperature of the sea would need to acquire a protective system to ensure minimum harm from the temperature changes on land. It is preposterous to claim that fish acquired such a system by random mutations as soon as they stepped onto land. 3. Water: Essential to metabolism, water needs to be used economically due to its relative scarcity on land. Retroviruses like HTLV1 (which causes a type of leukemia) and AIDS make a DNA copy of their own viral genome and insert it into their host's genome. If this happens inside of sperm cells or egg cells the retroviral DNA will be inherited by descendants of the host. And these copies of virus DNA are called endogenous retroviruses. In human DNA, there are about 30000 endogenous retroviruses. There are at least seven distinct instances of identical retrogene insertions shared between chimps and humans. The phylogenic tree for cats provide another example. The standard phylogenetic tree has small cats diverging later than large cats. The small cats (eg the jungle cat, European wildcat, African wildcat, blackfooted cat, and domestic cat) share a specific retroviral gene insertion. In contrast, all other carnivores which diverged earlier lack this sequence. And there are many very well known sequences that do this. Two such sequences are SINEs or Short Interspersed Transposable Elements and LINEs or Long Interspersed Transposable Elements. There are about 850000 LINEs and 1500000 SINEs scattered throughout your genome accounting for nearly 30 percent of the entire sequence. While they are useless to the genome and sometimes cause significant damage, they are useful to our investigation since essentially the only way for them to go from one organism to another is through direct DNA duplication and inheritance. Your LINEs, SINEs are given to your children. The parts of your DNA that make up your genes are relatively small sections scattered among the other useful parts of your genome as well as your LINEs and SINEs. Regarding caring for young: Crocs and gators do not usually care for their young for extended periods of time. They do care for them until they hatch, and shortly afterwards, but nowhere near what is found in mammals. Furthermore, even if they did, since crocodilians diverged such a long time ago, this would most likely be a simple case of convergent evolution. "She buries the eggs and fiercely guards her nest. When the eggs hatch in July or early August, the female helps carry her young to the water, but, unlike the alligator, she will not continue to care for her young." The documentary I saw was on crocs, not gators. Damn you discovery channel! I feel so used :( Actually, I will add this response to the description of my video, so people can be clear on the terminology, and that they are NOT used for respiration.

WHAT IF INSERTION IS NOT RANDOM If you run the numbers with the assumption that ERVs can only insert in 1% of the genome, ie highly nonrandom, you still get enormously low probabilities with only 16 ERVs. So even if insertion is highly nonrandom, getting the thousands of matched ERVs between all primates is unbelievably unlikely just like I show in the video (don't believe me, do the math). Endogenous Retroviruses (ERVs) are the relics of ancient viral infections preserved in our DNA. The odd thing is many ERVs are located in exactly the same position on our genome and the chimpanzee genome. There are two explanations for the perfectly matched ERV locations. Either it is an unbelievable coincidence that viruses just by chance inserted in exactly the same location in our genomes, or humans and chimps share a common ancestor. It was our common ancestor that was infected, and we both inherited the ERVs. ERVs providence the closest thing to a mathematical proof for evolution. And remember, ERVs are just one of the millions of FACTS that support the theory of evolution. Think about it.
