Sunday afternoon
21 people - Friends, these are my personal observations and comments about today's Cluster Reflection Meeting. A hardy group of about 20 people made it to the Cluster Reflection Meeting in South Berwick today, including Brandon Guzman and Jeni Lloyd from Portland, Jared Karrer and Thaddeus Herman from USM (and Eliot and Gorham, etc!), Leva Aryan and her dad from Gorham, and Bren Goode and her two grandchidren (I'm assuming) from S. Portland, Terry and Billy Weiss, Larry and Leona, and Fereshteh from S. Berwick, Jon and Phyllis Ring from Exeter, Flora and Cheryl (and myself for a few hours) from Eliot, and Bob Sylvester from MA. (Bob is a regional Institute Coordinator, for several states -- I don't know the exact title or territory.) The Green Acre staff working today had sent their love, but couldn't come due to the demands of snow removal.... LOTS of snow removal! I missed the earlier parts of the gathering (prayers, stories, guidance study, and consultation), but arrived in time for the Ruhi Book 6 refresher on teaching, with great discussion. (One thing I enjoyed was Bob's comment that "Planning begins with two questions: What is in your heart? How would you like to serve?") Jeni and I talked about wishing that the 4 Assemblies in our Cluster could get together at some point, perhaps in February about a month before the next Cluster Reflection Meeting, to give each other ideas about how to "promote individual initiative" and support the Cluster level "collective teaching" plans.
as part of weekend with Bruce Grover
The Council is delighted to announce that Brandon Guzman has been appointed cluster institute coordinator for the Lower ME/NH cluster to take the place of Nilo Hejabian who served the cluster so ably and with such dedication.
10am to 1pm - about 12 people
Lower ME/NH Cluster Reflection Gathering This Saturday, December 8th 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. (arrival time 1:30-2:00) S.Berwick Community Center 71 Norton Street, S. Berwick, Maine 12/8 at 6:15pm - Hi Jeni -- I hope this email finds you safely home after the Cluster Reflection Meeting. Stephen is home eating soup by the woodstove, and we'll go down to Green Acre in an hour for the five year plan talks. What an energizing day!!

Cheryl and Stephen and I were, I think, the only ones from Eliot at today's meeting. (Cheryl, have I forgotten anyone else there from Eliot?) Jay was unable to be there, as he's away for the weekend. There were a good number from S. Berwick (6), and others from Exeter, Portland, Gray, Gorham, central York County, etc. I think only Nancy was there from Portsmouth. At one point I counted 26 adults around the circle. There were also some children, and an adult or two may have been off with the children. Neil McBride was there for the RBCNE; the Area Teaching Committee members for this year are Terry and Jeni from before, and Nancy Knowles, Phyllis Ring, and Jay as new members. All but Jay were there. Both ABMs for our region were there (Jon and Laele), and the NH Cluster Regional Training Institute Coordinator, as Mara wasn't able to be there today. (There are now "zones" in the NE region, and two RBC members are assigned to each zone. Neil McBride and Barbara Markert are assigned to the VT/NH/ME zone, along with Jon and Laele.) The first almost two hours were devotions, presentations and a deepening on quotes. Then 6 or 7 people shared stories of what's been happening during this last 3-month cycle. (I enjoy the stories the most.) Then the next 3 month plan was shared, and people made pledges to carry out core activities and firesides.
On Saturday, November 18th about 50 Bahá’í’s living in the Coastal Lower Cluster attended our autumn Cluster Reflection Meeting where our first cycle IPG was launched. Many who may be interested in participating were unable to attend the Reflection meeting and may be seeking more information.
