The United States, South Vietnam, Vietnams Congress, and North Vietnam signed "An Agreement Ending the War and Restoring Peace in Vietnam" in Paris. The settlement included a cease-fire throughout Vietnam. It addition, the United States agreed to the withdrawal of all U.S. troops (totalling about 23,700) and having all of the U.S. bases taken out of Vietnam in 60 days.
