"Renegades" Inline Hockey Club conducts most of its activities and team training sessions at the Upper Hutt Roller Skating rink from early February to mid December each year. The rink is located a 34b Goodshed Road in Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand.

Finally after a few months in development the moment of truth has come. The Rimutaka Renegades web site is launched.

2006 was an extremely successful season for our Club with nine players being selected to represent New Zealand in the Oceania Championships in April 07. Our greatest successes in 2006 came from our teams. As proof of how we are growing and maturing as a Club, we had five (5) of our Club teams qualify for the 2006 National Championships.
Rimutaka Renegades was originally formed in 1998. A committee was ccreated by parents whose children were interested in playing Inline hockey informally at the Upper Hutt Roller Skating Club. Players from small Wellington Clubs, which had either closed down or lost their facilities, joined this group. The Rimutaka Inline Hockey Club was formed with only 15 players of various ages. The Club was totally separate from the Skating Club but continued to share with them the old factory rink at Lane Street. At first players just played amongst themselves. In 1998 the Club became incorporated and that year entered its first age group team (under 16's) into the Lower North Island Regional League.
