A grieving husband has called for action after his wife became the fifth person this year to die on the A338 between Ringwood and Salisbury. Here's where and when the accidents happened.

Christine Lorraine Hodges, 22, of Upper Parkstone in Poole, was driving to Salisbury, where she worked as an administrator for a car firm, when she was involved in a collision at Hucklesbrook at 7.35am.

Mrs Jeal became the fifth person to lose her life this year on the notorious Avon Valley road between Ringwood and Salisbury.
The driver of the other car, a white BMW 318, had to be cut free by firefighters and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Andrew Callis, 25, from Ringwood died when his car was involved in a head-on collision with a bus in fog at Ellingham crossroads.
An inquest into his death is pending.

Paul Choat, 39, of Fordingbridge lost control of his Mercedes at Blashford near Ringwood and died. He had been drinking and speeding an inquest later heard.

Joannah Brown, 23, from Sixpenny Handley and Nigel Hopkins, 27, of Woodfalls died just north of Downton on March 15, 2008, in a head-on collision on the A338 between Fordingbridge and Sailsbury.
