Henry Hudson had a terrible death. In the year 1610, Herny's crew turned against him. His crew set Hudson on a small with several loyal sailors and his son, John. Hudson and his small group starved to death. His wife Katherine sent a rescue cerw to look for him, but there was mo trace of him. After that, Hudson and his small group was never heard from again.
On his final journey from England in 1610, he again headed northwest towards Canada, this time on the ship called "Discovery." In August Hudson found a body of water which at first he thought was the Pacific Ocean. The body of water was a large bay, which eventually was named the Hudson Bay.
Hudson went out to sail with 22 crew members and his 17- year - old son. Hudson was in the search of a shorter rout to the Far East. His crew and him didn't set sail to England because they had some tragedies along there way. They got stuck in ice for three months.
Henry Hudson tried twice more to find a "northeast passage" but failed and returned to England. The trading company would not send him on any more explorations.
Henry Hudson got married to a woman named Katherine. They got three sons; named Oliver, John and Richard. Richard was Katheine's favorite son. Katherine married Hudson for his money, but she grew to love him alittle bit.
