The Beatles come to the US for their tour for the first time as a group, causing more British music to become popular in America.

The Beatles' original bassist, Stuart Sutcliffe, dies of a brain hemorrhage.
Brian Epstein, the Beatles' newest friend and fan, proposes to be their manager and is hired soon after.
The Beatles perform in a small club, while, unbeknownst to them, they are being observed by the man who would become their manager, Brian Epstein. They meet him later that night at the Cavern Club.
This causes Paul McCartney to become their bass player as well as singer.
They play here for the next 48 days.
