Last year in 2011 the iphone4 was invented. the iphone is a way you can get on the internet, text, check your email, and do other things with jus a push of a button( or slide of a finger) you can even do facetime. a way to talk to people on camera like skype, but on a phone instead. ( iphone5 in picture)
In 1920 the first true haair dryer was put on the market. This hair dryer wasnt like the ones we have now. instead it was rather big, heavy and frequently overheated. since then many changes and upgrades on the hair dryers looks have improved. they were improved to become more appealing to the people that were buying the product. In 1951 the first workable dryer was made.
Volleyball was invented in 1895 by William Morgan. Volleyball first had the name "Mintonette" and was introduced more in the 1900's. this sport was created to be a combination of basketball, tennis and handball. the first volleyball game was played with a borrowed tennis net that was "6" feet and 6 inches tall. ( taller than most people back then) (or taller than the average person back then) the game soon had a special ball made that was lighter than a basketball but bigger than a tennis ball, and was made out of leather.
on December 29 1890, Cheif Big Foot and around 350 followers were staying at a campsite they had setup. The camp was setup on the banks of wounded knee creek. The U.S soon surrounded the camp. the U.S charged into the campsite with the responsibility of arresting Big Foot and disarming his men.Trouble was going on with them for a while and the scene was tense. (trouble with the U.S getting big foot, and big foot running free and causing trouble.)
Softball was created after a football game at Yale. After the winning game, a man picked up a stray boxing glove. George Hancock the founder,(the one who found the glove) then tied the glove into the shape of a ball and threw it at some one. then the other person hit the glove ball with a broken broom that was used as abat. the court or playing area was in a gym at this time. the area was still a diamond, but it wasnt as big as it is now. now this game has the name Softball,
The telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell in 1876, with the help of an assistant. Bell invented the telephone on accident when he was trying to create a device that sent more that one telegram at a time. But instead he created something you can talk to someone with from a distance.The telephone has led to many more successfull things in technology like the cell phone, and the iphone. the accidental creation of the telephone is one of the greatest inventions in history.
