Just a couple of days ago I say a link to a Microsoft project called Microsoft Tag and I decide to check it out.
What is Microsoft Tag?
Everybody sees in all products everywhere barcodes. Did you ever wanted to know what that means? No? Yes? Ok. Doesn't mather, the fact is that the barcode is a identification of that product.
The interesting think about Microsoft Tag is that you can create your own “barcode”, the tag, that identifies something (e.g. a web link, some random text, a vCard or a Dialer.
But what do I do with the tag???
Well, first you can read that tag with your mobile phone camera. You just have to install the microsoft tag software from your phone web browser from this link http://gettag.mobi, install it, run the program that (that loads your camera), point to a tag and the software does the rest. If the tag is for example a link then the mobile phone links you to that link.
