Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This is the game that showed me that video games are a form of art. The open world, graphics, everything about it was and still is beautiful to me to this day. Even the way the characters developed and you grew attached to them is important to me. Of all the games that are important to me, this one game is the most important of all. Question 2: From a Designer Perspective, what made the game fun? Character development and the storyline was huge in this game. The battle and leveling system were spot on. Graphically it was great for the time, and better in the battles. From a designer perspective, I have yet to find a flaw in the design of this game.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game introduced me to the free roam ability that soon became a major factor of the games that I played. The ability to explore and re-explore areas and discover new areas with the different abilities the player could obtain. The excellent music that the game offered often caused me to sit in a room for hours and just listen to the music. Question2: From a Design Prospective, what made this game fun? The free exploration, paired with great music and smooth gameplay made this game a well known game. The role-playing elements that were paired with the classic Castlevania style gameplay was a first to me, and caused my interest in creating art through video games to raise again.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? Sonic, unlike his Italian competitor, showed me that a side scrolling game could be fun. The challenges that this particular title presented with its design was one that I took to heart, and am very fond of to this day. It also caused me to become competitive with my gaming. Question 2: From a Design Prospective, what made the game fun? The fun from this game came from the challenge that the speed gave. Some levels, although massive, could be played and passed in a matter of seconds. While others, if you were unfamiliar with the stage, could take the entire time limit the game gave you. The fun came from the challenge.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you?
This was one of two video games that I received for Christmas for the NES. This was the game that showed me how much of a challenge it was to create. A challenge that I wanted to take on at an early age. Because of this game, I spent months designing simple games, but never did anything with it. I had since lost those designs, but the memories have never faded.
Question 2: From an Design Perspective, what made the game fun?
Tetris was both simple and very challenging. This balance was one that caused not only me, but countless other people to spend countless hours playing this game.

Question 1: Why was this game important to you?
This is the very first game I remember playing. It was on the Atari 2600, and I had spent that summer before starting school playing it with my mom. Although it was for fun, I felt as though it was a challenge to become better than my mom. I use to love spending hours playing against her.
Question 2: From a Design Perspective, what made the game fun?
It was a combination of things. My ship looked like the USS Enterprise 1701, and made me feel like I was writing my own little page in Star Trek history. The opponets were unique, and made me feel like I was actually in a "space nightmare." Also, it was a far cry from repetative the further into the game you got.
