Netflix has broadened their reach once again with standard and high definition streaming of movies and shows onto the Wii console. For a standard going rate of 8.99 a month Wii users will be aloud streaming of their favorite movies and shows. This is a large step for the Wii console; It shows that even though it focuses on children the Wii can stay in the game with Xbox and PS3
Although controversy among video games is not a new idea, the problems that Infinity Ward caused with their blockbuster title, Modern Warfare 2, caused a ruckus that will not be forgotten so easily.
Project Natal was announced and shown off at the 2009 E3. It is said to be the next step in the evolution of gaming. It will revolutionize the way games are played by allowing the user to control games with their voice and body movements. It is claiming, no controllers needed
In the year 2007, the gaming industry final out did all other industries. This was a huge leap for gaming since no other entertainment has topped film. It is further proof of the massive growth spirt that the video game industry has undergone.
The 1080p feature on video games set the bar higher for designers. It forced companies to go the extra mile to make an impressive game. The first notable game to have this option was Virtua Tennis 3.
The Unreal engine has become the most noteworthy of all changes due to the fact that it is almost unheard of for any violent game to use any other type of engine in it's production. The Unreal engine cut the cost and hours of creating games down to a quarter of what it previously was.
When the Playstation 2 hit the market it revolutionized gaming with it's use of DVD format discs. From this point forward all consoles would use this idea since it was cheap and effective.
