Was in Hartford Connecticut a group of northern federalists that did not like James Madison's decisions so they made recommendations to make him resign from presidency the problem is when they got to Washington to give the recommendation the war was over and James Madison was a hero they were so embarrassed they died of.
The fort was being bombarded from ships outside of Baltimore they were British ships.The fort held its ground and lasted the whole day saving Baltimore. The fort was shaped like a star during the battle it inspired someone to write the star spangled banner.
Fought on the Tallapoosa river in central Alabama. The creek indians were threatening the southern states. Jackson raised a militia of 2000 Americans and 1000 indian allies. First plan was to attack form three sides. It failed. Nearly 900 people were killed and lots of women and children were taken prisoner. The Americans won.
The British were blockading the supplies form lake Erie. Then they ran out of food and supplies and they only had one chance so they fought the Americans and lost. Th fleet was led by Oliver Hazzard Parring.
General William Harrison led and army of 3500 soldiers against 700 British soldiers and 1000 indians. The battle was along Thames river in Ontario, Canada. The British were led by Henry Procter and they were fleeting from the battle of lake Erie so were the indians. Indians were led by Tecumseh. Americans won. Henry fled before all the soldiers did the soldiers were killed or surrendered and the indians kept fighting until their leader was killed.
The American ship called the USS Constitution defeated the British ship called the Guerriere off the coast of Nova Scotia. The USS Constitution was sent out because sailors from American ships were being taken. The Guerriere's captain was determined. He thought that he was going to win even though his crew was small and they did not have a lot of weapons. The fight lasted an hour. The USS Constitution won and the Guerriere blew up.
Causes of the war: There were three main causes. 1. Britain was taking American sailors from ships and forcing them into the navy 2. England gave guns to the indians on the Northwest territories 3. The Americans wanted to take Canada from Britain and Florida from Spain.
