The telegraph was invented by Samuel Morse. It is a machine that sends electrical signals from long distances. The telegraph was invented during the Industrial Revolution but was More widely used during the Scientific Revolution. This invention changed the face of communication because messages could now be sent from longer distances electronically. It inspired more inventions in the field of communication

The Reaper was an invention that boosted wheat production. This was because it made cultivating the wheat easier. Although it helped make wheat more abundant, it encouraged more forests to be cleared for farmland in order for more wheat to be harvested. The Reaper was invented during the Industrial Revolution and its effects are linked to Environmentalism.

TB is a disease that killed millions of people in England during the Industrial Revolution. It is a micro-organism that attacks and infects lungs of a person. People who are malnutrition are more susceptible to the disease. In the Scientific Revolution, TB was able to be identified due to the advancements in microbiology. As a result to these advancements more dangerous diseases can be identified and prevented.

Factories attracted workers from the countryside to work in the cities. Populations doubled as industry grew and more buildings and roads were built to accommodate the growing population.
Roads and buildings cover the originally porous earth that would naturally absorbs rainwater gradually and send the run-off to streams. Rain water that hits roads and buildings is more likely to be contaminated oil, and the runoff will pollute lakes and rivers.
Urbanization began in the Industrial Revolution and the effects of it are linked to Environmentalism because the contaminated rainwater destroys natural ecosystems by changing the pH of the soil and the water in ponds and lakes, animals rely on for life.

2)The steam engine, enhanced by James Watt, was used to power locomotives, mills, (paper, steel, flour) and pump water. It was widely used and boosted industrial production.(3)Because it was powered by the burning of coal, the steam engine created atmospheric pollution. (4)The steam engine links the Industrial Revolution with Environmentalism, because the resulting pollution contributes to the destruction of natural resources and ecosystems. (5) An effect of this is Global Warming.

Acid Rain first originated around 1730, during the industrial revolution. It is caused when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide enter the atmosphere through the burning of coal and oil. Acid rain has the pH of 5.6 instead of the original 5.0.
Acid rain causes buildings to erode and can destroy entire forests and habitats.
Acid Rain was caused by the industrial revolution; the pollutants released as a byproduct from factories contaminated the air with sulfur and nitrogen oxides which effects environmentalism today. Acid rain continues to drift in the atmosphere and destroy habitats.

Small pox is a deadly disease that infected millions during the Industrial revolution. It is a virus that localizes in the mouth, throat, skin and blood vessels and kills 30% of its victims. Edward Jenner, a scientist from the scientific revolution, discovered the process of inoculation, which immunized the people from the virus. Smallpox is the only disease that has been currently wiped out worldwide.
