soviet union started falling because there econmy started to fail them.it also was falling beacuse they fell behind in the nuclear race. the leader during this time was Gorbachew.
The Cuban missle crises was between Kruscheiv of USSR, Castro of Cuba, and JFK of US. The ussr started to fall behind in the nuclear race. Ussr then became allies with Cuba because cuba was only 90 miles away. JFK then orderd and blockade around cuba so no missles could get to the island. JFK demanded that they remove the missles they already have. this was the closet the war every got to hot.
