The leftist of the left split from the democrats to form the Progressive Party. they nominate Henry Wallace as their candidate.
Not the working class, but the middle class creates the progressive party.
This group opposed the shift from "greenbacks"(paper money) to coins.
jackson is running for reelection as a Democrat and the WHIGs are now in the picture. they are now nominating Henry Clay. Jackson is reelected with an anti-masonic candidate stealing 8% of the votes.
