The Internet was previously used by the Government to share ideas and communicate in case of disaster. With the growth in computer productivity we were able to create a way for people to communicate and share ideas through a computer. With access to databases, media and communication in one spot it helped to open up a computer as a great tool in educational technology. The Internet continues to grow and amaze in its capabilities and teaching examples.
Computers finally were able to fit on a desk, but they were just really large calculators and very slow compared to computers today. Apple releases their computer and it is the basis of almost all computers today

With television being more accessible it was more readily used in education situations. The FCC set aside "Educational" stations. By the 1960's there were over 50 stations presenting instructional programs
There was a time when computers could not fit on Desktops. This was early computing where often times a math problem could be figured out faster on paper and when the computers took up floors and rooms at Universities. This was the future, there was attainable success that had extreme potential
US. Army Air Force produced more then 400 training films and 600 film strips. It has been said that this is a great success in the speed and quality that the US troops were due to the films. This was a way to gauge how good they learned from the video media. Thus, proving the validity of film in learning situations.
Visualizing The Curriculum was a very important text book that came out on the topic of visual instruction. This proved that there was a key movement on using visual instruction in the classroom in order to further learning.

"Books will soon be obsolete in the schools..." Edison was a huge supporter in film as a tool to teach and get instructional ideas and knowledge to others.
United States was the the first to publish Instructional Flims. The Motion Picture project started to grow in popularity.
The Sterograph was a machine that allowed people to view two pictures side by side as one picture in 3-D.
