The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution on December 15, 1791. It was added becauseit was a compromise between the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists. Through this compromise, ratification of the Constitution by the states was achieved. I think the Bill of Rights played an important event in U.S. history because it added more rights and got the people to negotiate with each other to form a strong, well living country. RANK:3rd
The Formation of the Political Parties began because of the struggle of the ratifiction of the Constitution in 1787. Including Thomas Jefferson and Alexender Hamilton. The two parties were seperated into the Federlists and the Democrates & Republican. I think this was an important event in U.S. history because it made a group as one who had different views and different opinoions on how the government should be. RANK: 10TH
The Constitution is filled with laws and amendments. Also containing the Bill of Rights. The constitution was ratified and was made into a more important Constitution. I think the Constitution was an important event in American History because it was a document that founded our new government, it helped form the U.S., and is still used today. It also it protects us from each other, and it protects us from our own governement, it protects us from wrongful prosecution, incriminating ourselves, our right to speech, our right to freedom of religion. The Articles of Confederation was a set of rules for the new born American colonies and the first mini constitution. I thought this was important because it gave the people guide lines to making a successful way to a united nation. RANK: 6TH
The Declaration of Independence was signed of July 4, 1776. The Declaration of Independence was the most important event in U.S. history because it officailly made us one nation. An Independent Nation. It gave us rights. It was a start of forming the U.S. It was so important that even now we still have a special holiday for this special event in U.S. history. RANK: 1st
The American Revolution started in 1775 and ended in 1783 with the Treaty of Paris. This was an important event in U.S. history because it declared independence from Britain, in gained them confidence, and made them want to expand America. This started the new begining to the U.S. by working as a team. RANK:4TH
The Proclamtion Line of 1763 wasa formed after the French and Indians won the French and Indain War in 1754. The Proclamtion Line was formed to make a boundry of the French territory. I think this is an improtant event in U.S. because it gave them more independence and it had a little part of getting everyonethe people along. RANK: 9TH
The French and Indian War that was a war between British VS the French and Indians. This War was fought between 1754 to1763. This is an important event in U.S. history because when the French one the British was no longer controlled by the British. After this defeat the Proclamation Line of 1763. This gave them the power to America. RANK: 8TH
Jamestown, Virginia was the first English settlement in "The New World" in 1607. I think Jamestown's settlement is a important event in U.S. history because it was a place where the people could come here to practice religion, adventures, and break free from England. This was part of becoming what we now call America. RANK: 4TH
In 1492 Christopher Columbus discovered what we now call America. He was looking for a route the China. This is one of the top 10 events in the U.S. because if we hadn't discovered America we wouldnt be living here now. Nothing would be exsisting here in the U.S. We would all probably be still In Europe living by the king's rules. And we wouldn't have made it this far with out this discovery. RANK:5TH
