Chicago's "Graffiti Blasters" can't keep up with the tagging in Wicker Park, even with a $9 million budget. The city is able t clean up 172,000 tags each year, but that still isn't enough. Since Chicago lost the 2016 bid in Oct., tag cleanings have fallen by 10,000 compared with the year-earlier period. (Chicago Sun Times)

Justice Stevens upholds the 1992 ban on selling spray paint in Chicago. A Federal District Court Judge had ruled the ban unconstitutional in 1993. The 7th Circuit Appeals Court overturned that ruling. (NY Times)
