Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game was important to me because it was the first game that was extremely time consuming, and difficult to beat; these were two experiences that I had yet to experience before this game. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This game taught me to search every last part of a level. This game has more secret locations than I can remember. You were always kept on your toes by the adaptive foes that you would encounter throughout the game. There were also a lot of bonus rounds to compete in.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game was important to me because it introduced me to the racing genre of video games. It was then that I realized that I loved the speed and the thrill that high octane racing could create. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This game taught me about driving a vehicle. There was the brakes, the acceleration, and the steering wheel all of which were used to compete against various other players. What made this game fun was the power-ups you could acquire throughout the track. All it would take is the right item and just like that you could go from last place, to first place in the blink of an eye.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game was important to me because it made me have my first taste of the fighting game genre. It was the defining game that made my love for fighting games what it is today. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This game taught me about skill and strategy. The unbelievable fights you could have in this game was insane! When you were able to face a worthy opponent matches could come down to your last sliver of health. There were also a lot of characters to choose from and each one had their unique way of crushing their opposers.
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game was important to me because it was the first game that I was able to beat by myself. Beating this game was the catalyst for my love of video games to this very day! Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This game taught me about spacing. You often had to gauge your distance away from another object in order to successfully make the jump. What made this game fun was just how simple it was to play. You didn't need to be an expert or have much skill to be able to play this game. It was just wholesome fun!
Question 1: Why was this game important to you? This game was important to me because it was the first multiplayer game that I had ever played. I can still remember the day me and my brother beat it like it was yesterday. Question 2: From a Design Perspective, What made the game fun? This game taught me to always keep my eye on my spatial surroundings. It also taught me the importance of teamwork; both players had to work together to succeed. What made this game fun was the wave after wave of increasingly difficult opponents that just kept coming. It gives you that "underdog" feeling that makes for an unforgettable experience.
