Question 1: What were the details of the event? This court case has been going on for quite some time, the concern is banning the sale and rental of violent games to any one under 18. Also placing a label on the front and back of the games explaining that the game was "ultra violent"
Question 2: Why was the event important to the industry? This event is important because as of right now the age on M rated games is 17, it may only be a year difference but that changes the demographics for selling games.
Put yourself into the role of a Game Developer or Game Designer. How might this event affect your job? This wouldn't really affect my job as a designer, perhaps I would have to focus more on non violent games so that the company that I work for could still produce and sell games. How does affect how you might design games? I would possible have to start designing games that were not as violent and more family friendly.

Question 1: What were the details of the event? A 51 year old man is suing NCSoft because he is dependent on the game and can not function with out it.
Question 2: Why was the event important to the industry? This event is important because it shows that the industry is capable of making games that people can not put down. As wrong as that sounds because people do have addictions, I see this as a plus for the industry.
Put yourself into the role of a Game Developer or Game Designer. How might this event affect your job? The event can only be positive, knowing that there are gamers out there that will play a game that you created only means that I would have to make more games. How does affect how you might design games? I suppose that when designing a game I would put safety features in that would tell you when you have played for one hour, two hours, etc.. This would allow for players to know when to turn the game off and go outside.

Question 2: Why was the event important to the industry? This even is important to the industry because with streaming of games there isn't a need to make disc based games.
Put yourself into the role of a Game Developer or Game Designer. How might this event affect your job? This would affect my job in a positive way because with a pre render of the game server side this allows for more graphic intense games to play on a less then par computer. How does affect how you might design games? The way that I would design games wouldn't change this would just be one more reason to continue to design games.

This could affect my job by restricting what I was allowed to place in video games due to personal moral and ethics that were spoke of at the conference. How does affect how you might design games? Question 1: What were the details of the event? Mobile gaming started to flourish in 2003 when phone companies started to support games on their phones. The main company being Nokia which released the N-Gage
Question 2: Why was the event important to the industry?
Put yourself into the role of a Game Developer or Game Designer. How might this event affect your job? How does affect how you might design games?
This event was important to the industry because it allows for more options when it comes to platforms that a company can design games for. As far as affecting my job, this even can really only make it better allowing me to learn more and allowing my company to produce more and more games for a wider demograph. Second, when it would come to how I would design games, you would have to design them so that they could be played on the go, short fast games, mini-games for lack of a better term.

Question 1: What were the details of the event? With the release of games such as DDR, Guitar Hero, and Donkey Kong Barrel Blast controllers such as dance pads, guitars, and drums were introduced to the game scene. Question 2: Why was the event important to the industry? Put yourself into the role of a Game Developer or Game Designer. How might this event affect your job? How does affect how you might design games? This even was important to the industry because it opened up true user interaction to the games that they loved to play. This even again would benefit my job due to the fact that it allows so many more possibilities to the games that can be produced. This could affect my job in a positive and a negative way, positive being that I could learn how to create these games and use the new controllers to my advantage. Negative would be the fact that people that already know how to produce these games would be doing so and I could possible be left in the dust.
