The Warsaw was created in 1940. This was the largest ghetto created by the Nazis. There was little food and room in the ghettos and many Jews died of disease. Any Jews found out of the ghetto were killed.
on september 21st reinhard heydrich made it official that jews had to live in ghettos. In most ghettos their were no houses, you had to build your own. the ghettos had horrible conditions. jews were worked to death but warsaw was the worst. About 100,000 jews died only from diseases.
The Jewish adults did not want their kids to suffer through the concentration camps so they put them into hiding places such as boarding schools and orphaniges. They were usually sent far away from their houses and were not told where they were going. Their were people believe it or not that were good during the holocaust. They were called righteous gentiles. These people were non Jewish and they risked their own lives for the innocent JUews of europe.
The yemen leaders made all jewish places of worship forbidden and destroyed all synagogues. Later they forced all of the jews to mause if they havnt died from starvation. a while after that they were brought back because they have skiled craftsmenship.
The king and queen of spain on this date made order for all jews to leave spain. the only way to stay would be if they converted. While the jews would leave they would swollow their valuables for later and while they were trying to leave the spaniards would cut them open hoping to find their treasures. Also while leaving by boat they would pay a fee and instead of the captains letting them ride they would throw them overboard.
Because France was running out of money and their was much hatred towards Jews the king of France expelled all of the from France. Before this in 1215 the pope made living and working between Jews and christians forbidden.
The jews of this time thought that they could fight the romans because the emporer was being unfair. The emporer wanted his statue in every temple and the jews wouldn't let him. They thought they could revolt and win but instead they were beat terribly.
The Jews in Egypt at this time were descriminated against and therer were many anti-Jew policies because of this the Pharoh enslaved all Jews and forced them to create a pyramid for him. Other things Jews were forced to do in Egypt was wear a golden calf to symbolize they are Jews. They suffered through humiliation so they would convert but they didn't give in.
