African- Americans began to migrate north out of the south to began industrial jobs offered there. Racial tensions grew high when African Americans were taking traditionally a white mans job. Many riots broke out but the most serious riot was in Detroit.
In an effort to improve Chinese and American relations, American congress finally appealed the Chinese Exclusion Acts that barred almost all Chinese immigration.
