It was a time that the blacks stood up to the whites and said no to taking riding to the bus. They walked everywhere they needed to go to change segregation upon the busses
A group of black males that carriered around firearms and observed cops.
Dr. King was an amazing guy who contributed to the civil rights movement by Leading rallys and telling people to remain non- violent.
He was the first black mayor. It showed black people in the movement that anything is possible.
Allows people to vote without segregation.
Dr. King gave his famous inspirational speech! " I HAVE A DREAM" it was so moving it gave blacks inspiration to keep moving foward
The SNCC stands for The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee
It was a huge cntruibution to the the civil rights movement. It was when blacks said they would not put up with it no more. A whole bunch of colored people rode on a bus Washington D.C. to Mississippi
This was when colored people all sat in a white person resevered seating. It showed whites that blacks were not putting up with their abuse.
9 black sudents that faced trouble while trying to attend a white school. This really showed segregation and it gave motivation towards the movement.
He was a 14 year old black male murdered by two white males. He had talked bad about a white female so he was punished because of it.
Dr. King was an inspirational leader during the Civil Rights Movement
A Civil Rights Leader who was very inspirational and had a big impact on the mvement
Rosa Parks was an amazing women who refused to get up due to the color of her skin.
NAACP stands for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. It was created as an African-American civil rights organization in the United States
