An ADSL circuit is much faster than a regular phone connection, and the wires coming into the setup of the subscriber are the same copper wires used for regular phone service. ADSL communication lines can be configured in a symmetric as well as asymmetric manner for uploading and downloading data. AIFF:
AIFF is acronym for Audio Interchange File Format. AIFF is a high quality audio file format introduced by Apple. AIFF is a data file standard used for storing sound data for personal computers and other electronic audio devices. The format was co-developed by Apple Computer in 1988 based on Interchange File Format (IFF, widely used on Amiga systems) of Electronic Arts and is most commonly used on Apple Macintosh computer systems. The audio data in a standard AIFF file stays in format of uncompressed pulse code modulation (PCM). There is also a compressed variant of AIFF known as AIFF-C or AIFC, with various defined compression codecs.

An aliased name server is the one name server that has been labeled as one’s own except that it is in fact owned by its own web hosting provider. Anon FTP is a commonly known name for Anonymous File Transfer Protocol or Anonymous FTP. I have checked the check box on all the content types but I keep getting the page numbers at the bottom instead of the “Read More” link. I tried using the “Read More” link module but that module is confusing as well. This Paging Module works I just want the “Read More” link to appear when I check that box and it is not showing up. I have installed the video module and would like to use this to show video on my website. I already have converted the video to flash format using ffmepg. i have uploaded the video to the server. Please note that i have converted the video on a client PC and uploaded using sftp. All i want to use the video module is to display the video on my website. How can i achieve this or is there any other module i should be using?
I do not want to use the video module for converting or uploading videos. Converting and uploading i can take care of it since i am the only one who will be adding video to the site.

I am trying to build a Drupal site to facilitate gathering of data for a historic architectural survey and would like to have the ability to have data entered in a “table” format with all the fields in a row linked together and sortable/searchable.
Best case would be a button at the end of the table that says “add another resident” and users would click to insert a new row at the bottom of the table (AJAX?) or a new set of entry fields.
Is this possible to do from within a node, or would each of the residents in a particular house have to be entered as separate nodes (perhaps a separate content type?) and linked somehow to the ” building” node? If this is possible, is there a module or set of modules that might accomplish it?

Having a problem with attaching files in Horde. No matter what the size or file type the following is given when an attachment is attempted to be sent:
Did not attach “whatever.ext” as the file was empty.
The disk space on the server seems to be fine on all partitions and the tmp directories look ok to me. I tried a full horde reset as well as an upcp to no avail.
Any ideas what else I can check?

After the latest Cpanel Stable Release Build was updated a couple days ago, my cron jobs on backups of FTPing some sites have stopped working.
I have double checked the themes and everything is still in place. Coding still same on the sites with this below script, cron job settings for backup is still the same, and etc..
Only thing to change was the new Cpanel Stable Release Build. Been using this backup for some time now, and after the new Cpanel Stable Release Build – POOF – it stopped working.

Hope someone can help me out here. I am in the middle of starting up a new e-business…and yesterday when I was trying to install a cms, I accidentally deleted a bunch of folders from my home directory.
I have two questions:
Are the folders (etc, tmp, cgi-bin) specific to my website or does cpanel come with standard folders containing standard information?
Is there a way for me to get a hold of the files and folders that I lost from someone/somewhere? I hadn’t created any pages yet, so I basically just need to start from fresh, but my webhost is taking forever to respond and restore my cpanel.

I was using db2 command line prompt to execute db2 system commands ( admin related commands) and queries in DB2 Unix.
Now I’m working on db2 in Mainframes. I’m executing SQL queries in SPUFI and QMF. Want to know how to execute the db2 system related commands etc.
So far I found few JCL’s to run some utilities. Is there any way to execute the commands directly as in db2 clp?
How do we run the perfomace improvement utilities like design advis etc ?

Hello, Is there an easy way to edit the httpd.conf ? I tried FTP, but it’s not possible.
So I googled and it says something about using “pico” text editor.
So I tried via putty “pico /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf” and it says:

First of I don’t usually post reviews unless they deserve it also I don’t usually complain unless its way over my limit. Dan deserve a praise for his work at ServerTag.com.
I wanted a server in Toronto but I always find it very high priced due to not much demand. I spoke to Dan over the msn about getting a server, seems he has a private space at Colosseum Online Inc. North York, I was big fan of 151 Front St due to all the big companies (including my ISP) and carriers do business there but due to its popularity its expensive.
After speaking with Dan, he was able to closely match the deal that I had in with a US provider, so I decided to give it a try. I also was curious how one man army would work out but Servertag had positive reviews at WHT so I didn’t doubt it.
Server was setup fast upon payment, I only contact support if the server needs to be rebooted, I checked the customer panel there was 6 tickets within 12months. 4 Reboots other 2 for some other minor reason.
I could say that I had 100% uptime and really great speed across the globe, my sites loaded fast for everyone from europe to Asia. Since I live in toronto the ping time was 15ms.

looking for a similar machine to the OVH EG-Max (but not from OVH)
OVH seem perfect, but have ruled them out because their T&Cs appear to be to turn off the whole server for minor transgressions or apparent host compromise (so you loose the whole server if a single VM were alleged to be compromised…)
So the requirements are:
Run a bunch of VMs for our own hosting needs
VMs run mailserver, some website, some internal apps. Mail and web applications resold to customers
Want a bare server can install customised linux distro onto (we know what we need and can completely support everything we require)

I am trying to add a few thing to the product page. Every article I read tells me to edit “view.phtml” located in “/app/design/frontend/default/jm_purity/template/catalog/product”
I have edited in mytheme folder and default folder structure and still nothing. I have also cleared the cache several times.
Is there another file or location to edit the product page?

I absolutely do not want customers to be directed to the dashboard when they login. In admin I’ve chosen “No” for “Redirect Customer to Account Dashboard after Logging in”, and it’s still going there.
Is there a way to make sure it always sends the customer to the main page once they login?

I am trying to set up USPS shipping to APO addresses, but I don’t want it to be available for any other US states or countries. I want it to be available ONLY to APO addresses. There isn’t any way that I know of to choose specific states for a shipping method, and the shopping cart price rules seem to only be for shipping discounts, which I don’t want. Does anyone know how to do this?

I am trying to include thumbnails of each product into the “order confirmation” transactional email.
I can easily modify the template in /app/design/frontend/default/
/template/email/order/items/order/default.phtml.
But I haven’t found out yet how to get the URL of the product image from there.
Has anybody an idea or done this already?

I read there was an import feature with 1.4 as I cannot get the osc import add on to work with 1.3, but I am a bit lost there doesnt seem to be a function in the profile import to import an osc database, and most of the articles around the net are out of date, can anyone advise?

I have a custome-home.phtml in my magento store, and want to insert .swf file.
Have been advised best practise is to use SWFObject, but do not know how to add flash code or where to add any js script reference as have read some other forums where code is needed to insert in .xml file.

I created my website using WordPress as a CMS. The site has several Pages on which I have disabled commenting. Under “Categories” it has a link to “Announcements”. The only person who can add to that is me.It also has a second link to “Comments”. That one I would like to use as a blog.
To get that function, I created an initial post in the Comments catetory (“What’s On Your Mind?”) and enabled comments so readers could have a page to put their comments.
However, I don’t want the commenters to create a new post for each comment, I just want my “Comments” link to be a simple chronological series of comments (that I moderate).
So I thought maybe just create a Page titled “Comments” and enable commenting for that page. I think that would work but I also think the narrow comment box that WP provides is kinda funky. I used Cforms to create my “comment” interface but I think that is geared more to form submittal, so I canned it.

I am in the process of moving several domains registered and previously hosted elsewhere to Blue Host. I’d say that 98% of the process has gone well, but (you just knew that was coming, didn’t you?), there is something I just can’t seem to get working in the DNS side of things.
I created a new add on domain, uploaded the site to the new sub-directory the cpanel created and edited the DNS entries on my old system to point to Blue Host. I changed the zone file on the old system to the two Blue Host name servers, updated all the IP addresses in the other system to be the Blue Host IP address and let it do it’s thing.
After a couple of days, the only thing NOT working is the short form: “domanename.com”. If I put “www.” at the front of that partial URL, it works!
On my old host, I had two “A” records in the zone file, one without and one with the “www.” on it.
Trying to do that at Blue Host gives an error to the effect that you cannot do that!

In the simplest description, I want a list to flow from one column to the next. I have Views2 with the Panels Bonus Pack, and Panels3, but I can’t seem to achieve my desired results. Here’s why…
I am creating a contact page for a college website. I have a content type called “People” with multiple taxonomies. I want this list to show all “Staff” (which includes admins, techs, deans, student assistants, etc), but sorted so that it breaks out the staff further classified as a “Dean” first, then the rest of the staff. Across two columns.

I currently have a standard shared hosting plan with HostGator but am planning on upgrading to a VPS Hosting plan ($39.95 plan with $10 extra for cPanel). Someday I may go as far as dedicated hosting but not yet. With an increase in website traffic and emails I need this.
The issue is PCI Compliance:
I have been told by my bank that they are PCI Compliant, by my gateway, authorize.net, that they are PCI Compliant.
Also, I use CRE Loaded 6.4B2B and am told that’s PCI Compliant. I don’t store any credit card numbers on my website.
The only piece I’m not understanding is my hosting. I have heard you need dedicated hosting to be PCI Compliant. Then I have heard VPS is, is not. I have heard often that standard shared hosting is not PCI Compliant but also at the same time have heard it is.
I’m just confused and with the deadline coming July 1st and the high penalties I don’t want to chance being wrong.

I have a really wierd problem with a jquery ajax get call when using rdf module and outputting rdfa.
The problem is as follows:
Initially when I was using $.getJson I was not getting any data back from my php script. When i just used a get and didnt specifiy i wanted json back then i got the data but along with the data the contents of the html tag was prepended. i.e. all of the namespaces my rdfa is using.
