Lynette Fromme was sentanced to life in prison for attempting to assassinate the president.
Ford issued proclamation 4311, which gave nixon a full pardon for anything he may have done. but this action was very controversial. But ford said it was because of the friendship they shaired.

Angelo DeCarlo was a mobster sent to prison for extortion. Angelo said he had lung cancer and needed a pardon, Nixon granted the pardon.
Five men attemted to break in to the watergate complex. a security gaurd noticed tape on doors, leaving them unlocked. He took the tape off and an hour later there was more tape. He called the cops and the five men were arrested.
In order to adress the topic of nuclear weapons, Nixon traveled to U.S.S.R. He met with soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev.
Nixon traveled to china to improve relations with china. He traveled to Bejing and other parts of china. Nixon said that the meating was critical to relations with china.
In january 20th of 1969, president Nixon was swarn into presidency.
