  The Twins return outdoors to play in Target Field. They would go on to set an attendance record, besting the 1988 record with several games left to play in the regular season. They also win the division in their first year at Target Field, but lose to the Yankees in the ALDS in three games.

  New manager, Ron Gardenhire takes the team to the ALDS after winning the division. His MN Twins would win their division 6 times between 2002 and 2010.

  The longtime Manager of the Twins, Tom Kelly, retires after 15 seasons and two world championships. Ron Gardenhire takes his place.

  The Twins and the Vikings abandon the outdoors for the comfort of a climate controlled teflon dome in downtown Minneapolis.

  The Twins win 102 games during the regular season and lose to the L.A. Dodgers in 7 games.
