Back at state i waited patiently for my girlfriend to arrive. When she did we decided to go to noodles and co. for our dinner date after a long weekend without seeing each other. It ended up being a double date as our friends arrived about 15 minutes after us, though it was not intentional. There we talked about our weekends and I explained the whole Paul Walker story to them, needless to say they didn't believe me. I don't blame them though as I wouldn't believe me either and I'm sure anyone who reads this wont as well, but thats all right with me because I will always know that it happened.
Early in the morning I had to get up to go back to East lansing because I do not own a car =( which is sad now that I know how well i can drive cars. I want my first to be either something I can tune or some good ol' American muscle. maybe a Mustang. Either way Paul has left and I will probably never see him again, but Vin Diesel did leave me with a good motto to live by, "One quarter mile at a time." Approximate Miles Traveled: 67.15
On Saturday we only did one thing as a family, WATCH THE SPARTANS KICK SOME ASS! but it was good times. my dad cooked us snack foods, i couldn't tell you what though, they had some strange names. Approximate Miles Traveled: 0
about an hour after the MSU football game Paul showed up in his Toyota Supra. I was Impressed. He tossed me the keys and said drive. I asked where we were going, and he said Race Wars. I knew I had to leave for East lansing early in the morning though. I was concerned about the time constraints to say the least. I followed his directions to an abandoned flat area. I wish i could say where but Its probably not safe for me to say where as its an annual thing. I was racing with Pauls' Supra and i lost the first race as i was getting used to his car. I was concerned but its ok because it was double elimination. As i worked my way to the top of the boards the day wore on. By the last race it was around 1:30 in the morning. My final opponent, none other then Vin Diesel himself driving a Supercharged Mustang fastback. I asked him why he was here before the race started he looked over his arm and said, "I live my life a quarter mile at a time, didn't you know?" needless to say I lost to him, but I'm fine with it as its Vin Diesel, he's like a god. Paul was fine with it too because on my way up i won enough money to replace his eclipse. Paul drove me home and I arrived at about 3 in the morning. He made me give him his phone back.
At around 6 we went to pick out a Christmas tree! It was pretty cold but it was the shortest time to pick out a tree we've had yet. $90 was spent on the tree. Approximate Miles Traveled: 4 (including both ways)
texted Paul and told him I was back in Rochester if he needed me. His response was to not make plans tomorrow afternoon. thats all that was said that day.
At noon me, and my Parents went back to our house in Rochester Hills. my sister and her boyfriend split off and went to Grand Rapids to visit his family. We lounged around the house all day watching Netflix and Hot Tub Time Machine. Approximate Miles Traveled: 55.38
at 3:30 everyone that wanted to go back out got up. Those people being, me, my dad, my mom, and my cousin alex. (Christine was going out a bit later with her boyfriend) We drove to Saginaw and the first place we went to was Gamestop. Then we waited in line at Target and split up and my dad and I went to Best Buy while Alex and my mom paid at Target. We spent about $1,000 combined between me and my parents. Approximate Miles Traveled: 30.24 (including both ways) My parents and alex left me in front of the best buy at about 5:30 when we got done shopping. it was extremely cold waiting there for Paul, and when he showed up he just said, "get in." I told him i only have until 10:00AM at the latest. He said it was fine and drove. Im not exactly sure where he took me but it was a long strip of empty flat road. There he taught me how to drive better, by the end I was doing pretty well, even Paul noted that. I was proud. I ended up getting back at about 9:00AM.
when we got back to the house (around 1am)we compared our spoils. We couldnt agree on a movie so we ended up watching the Bond marathon on syfy. Everyone else but me went to sleep but i decided to stay awake as we had to get back up at 3:30 to go back out shopping. Approximate Miles Traveled: 0
At 11:30ish me, my sister, her boyfriend, my dad, my cousin alex, and my uncle steve all got into the cars and we drove to WalMart for their midnight Black Friday deals. I am now going to refer to Mr. Walker as Paul for the rest of the weekend. Paul drove me to the street racing scene in Detroit. Paul wanted to see my driving skills at this point as I talked a big game. So he entered me, with his Eclipse, Paul is a very nice guy. So im sitting there on the line, real nervous as the race is about to start, but i dont look it. If anyone was to look at me i was the most confident person in my driving abilities. The reason I was nervous is because the race was for the pink slips of the cars. The girls hands go down and the race started. We were neck and neck and I used his nitrous. but it was too early and when my opponent used his, he passed me right before the finish. Paul was less then thrilled with me. We got a cab back to his place and he then drove me back to Frankenmuth at about 4-5AM and as I got out he looked at me very seriously and said, you owe me a new car, and I WILL see you tomorrow. He tossed me a pre paid phone and drove off.
I drove my uncles Volt to the locals bars as their designated driver. Surprisingly at one of the bars, we met none other then . . . Paul Walker. Over a beer we talked about the volt I was driving, and the car he was driving, a supped up 96 Mitsubishi eclipse. It was at this point I left my family behind for Paul WALKER. Approximate Miles Traveled: 10 total.
My cousin Alex picked me up from East Mcdonel and we drove to his house in Frankenmuth. we listened to one of his mixtapes tat was in the car and it had artists like Dub FX and Muse on it. when we got back my aunt had tacos ready for us, after dinner I read some Scott Pilgrim and went to sleep Approximate Miles Traveled: 55.8
I woke up late for my class, reading 12:40 as 11:40. I went to my Math class at 3:00 but ended up texting my cousin the whole time about what we were doing.
