Times have changed. In Toy Story 3, Woody uses a kind of Pixar Google Maps to know how to go to Andyâs house from Bonnieâs. In both cases, the map does not have a specific role in the fiction. It is simply used to find a location. We can however notice that it is probably the first time a map service appears in an animated movie.

In Synecdoche, the first film he directed, Charlie Kaufman offers us a crazy game based on the impossible paradox of the perfect representation of reality. Caden Cotard (Philip Seymour Hoffman) is a depressive and hypochondriac theater director. He wants to create the absolute play by putting on stage an exact and faithful reproduction of his own life. To meet this requirement, he has to direct himself as a theater director directing himself and he has to hire actors to play actors playing the characters of his life. This results in a spatial impressive machinery.

Minority Report is a Steven Spielberg film (2002) adapted of the eponymous short story that Philip K. Dick published in 1956. More than fifty years after being written, and although widely modified in the film version, the short story of Dr. K. Dick is still of a troubling modernity. When it was released, the film was considered futuristic, but the daily news are more and more closer of the film script, at least on some points. New communication technologies, virtualization of the world and human relations under the control of the police responsible for maintaining order, and using methods and techniques aiming at the prevention of crime and the arrest of individuals before they commit their crimes. This film is perhaps one of the reference scripts of science fiction films where issues of spatiality and temporality of today humanity are staged by the director, not to impose a vision but to invite the audience to question, which is not so frequent in films.

After Carthage SalammbĂŽ, the TGM (Tunis-Goulette-Marsa) train arrives at Sidi Bou Said station. There is in the village another materialization of fiction, in a minor way compared to SalammbĂŽ, more in line with the sky blue house of Le Forestier. The famous song Le cafĂ© des dĂ©lices sung by the French singer and actor Patrick Bruel has materialized in a real cafe of the same name. Many visitors think that Patrick Bruel was inspired by this cafe when he composed the song. Some even believe â and write it on forums â that Bruel is the owner of the cafe. In fact, as shown in this video, the song was not written by Bruel (born in Algeria in 1959) but by Felix Gray (born in Tunisia a year earlier). The song evokes the Tunisian coast: the Port of Tunis, Port El Kantaoui, Hammamet, but not especially Sidi Bou Said.
