After Septeber 11 the Iraq war occured and is still occuring. This war lead to the fall of the capital of Baghdad in Iraq. Many of American soldiers are currently fighting this war and many casulties have occured. The reasons for the invasion were "to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction, to end Saddam Hussein's alleged support for terrorism, and to free the Iraqi people."
The attacks on September 11 is a day in history that all of America will remember forever. These grusome terrist attacks were in form of hijackers on airplans trying to crash them into some of America's most important buildings. The succeeded in their attacks sending airplanes into the two twin tower in New York. Many deaths happened and it was a very tear filled day in American eyes.
The Gulf War was a war waged by a U.N. authorized coalition force from thirty-four nations led by Britain and the United States, against Iraq. America was urged to send soldiers to help out at the scene.
Great Britain no longer would provide financial aide to Greece and Turkey, so the responsibity was handed to the United States to help these crumbling nations. The united states thought communism would grow if such things would occur, and the doctrine was established.
World War two lasted from 1939 to 1945. During this war there were two allied powers: the axis powers and the allies. This war included the Holocaust in Germany and many other depressing deaths during this time. This was another war that the great powers were involved with, and the world was in war against eachother. This is when the worlds first atomic bomb was dropped on a nation.
The first great war involved all the worlds greatest powers. There were two alliances made fighting against eachother. More than 9 million soldiers were killed during this war. New technology had been created and big advancments were created in the world during this time.
The Monroe Doctrine was introduced December 2 1823. It says that if European countries were to interfere with America then it would be viewed as acts of agression. The United States would refrain from participation in European wars and would not disturb existing colonies in the Western Hemisphere.
