George Wilson, out of rage from the loss of his wife and acting on false information, kills Gatsby. Virtually noone comes to his funeral despite the multitude of people who attended his parties.
Nick moves from the West to West Egg, NY to become involved in the selling of bonds. Daisy invites him over to her house, and he realizes that both Tom and Daisy are immoral people. At this time, he also meets Jordan Baker for the 1st time. Later, Daisy learns that Gatsby is just across and begins to rekindle their relationship.
Daisy moves on when Gatsby leaves for the War and meets Tom who spoils her. At her wedding she recieves a letter from Gatsby and she breaks down crying, realizing what a mistake she was about to make
