The Black Plague spread all throughout Europe.
Mansa Musa became well known because of his generosity. As he traveled to Mecca he would pay for the production of mosques in gold.
Muslims' conquest of Jerusalem and Damascus caused many problems between the different religions. Soon after Damascus would be seen as the new capital of Islamic empire.
When the Pope was declared the leader of Rome, the division of the church occurred. The East became Orthodox, while the West became Catholic.
The invaders moved to Europe to settle because there were no supplies in central Asia.
Saint Cyril influenced the cultural development of the Slavs. He is credited with the Cyrillic Alphabet.
Pope Leo III crowed Charlemagne emperor. This would later become a problem because of the conflict over power. .
Fought in north-central France. It was fought to prevent the expansion of Islamic culture.
The spread came when traders began to trade accoss all of the many places in the north. This helped the spread of diffrent religions.
After the death of Ali, the Sunnis and the Shiites split. This conflict was caused because they could not agree on who would follow after Muhammad.
In 630 AD, Muhammad returned from Medina after Mecca did not believe in his beliefs. He then claimed Mecca & Medina as the holy cities of Islam.
The famous domed church built by the emperor of Byzantine, Justinian. This is the most famous piece of Byzantine architecture.
This was the war between the Ostrogoths & Justinian. Justinian tried to reconquer provinces of the former Western Roman Empire.
