"Where it ends it begins," said Lisa Heuberger, employee at All About Dance, about its Adult Cardio Hip Hop class.
Heuberger said after 10-15 minutes of warm-up and toning, students learn a short routine that repeats for the duration of the class.
"It keeps going over and over and over and over, so the songs will start out slow and progressively they'll get faster and faster and faster until the end. It's so fast you can barely move," Heuberger said.

Yoga Sculpt incorporates weights into a hot room yoga class to create lean muscle mass, according to Taylor Witzki, an instructor at CorePower Yoga in Lakeview.
Witzki also said several factors separate Yoga Sculpt from a regular yoga class.
“The music is more upbeat…you just have to be a lot more energetic, so it’s more of an aerobics class in that sense, but you’re still doing only yoga postures,” Witzki said.

Bollywood instructor Ajanta Chakraborty said her class introduces beginners to Bollywood in a comfortable environment. The first half of the class introduces participants to basic Bollywood moves, while the second half simulates the setting of an Indian dance club with continuous music.
"In [an] Indian dance club, you will always find people standing in a circle, and every few minutes some other person leads, and everybody follows. And then a few minutes later, somebody else will start leading and everybody follows," said Chakraborty.

“It’s different from other classes because it’s supposed to feel like a party. The instructor doesn’t talk, so the students start to feel like it’s their own class," said Christa South, owner of Dance SPA in Chicago's Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood.
