From Kathy's post I was led to Derek Robertson of the Consolarium, Learning & Teaching Scotland. His website shows hands on use of DS (and game Nintendog) as well as testimonial from students

The other link came from @KathyCassidy who provided me with her blog post about her implementing DS systems in her class

From my tweet I got this link from @Shareski about how computer games can impact enhanced learning
http://www.ltscotland.org.uk/ictineducation/gamesbasedlearning/sharingpractice/braintraining/introduction.asp
Trying to find some concrete examples since I wanted to add gaming systems to the wiki. Decided to tweet Kathy Cassidy who I knew used DS systems
Beginning to organize the presentation for my 'what to learn project'. Using keynote and inspiration from various youtube videos.
I have began thinking about how to showcase my learnings. I knew I wanted to use a keynote presentation and began searching if I could upload a presentation to youtube. Found that slideshare had a help section that gave step by step instructions!

Finally finding lots of research supporting the use of mobile phones in the classroom and also productive ways to use them (such as free books sent to your phone)

Watched a presentation by Ira David Socol about the Toolbelt theory which is that everyone needs a "toolbelt" that holds tools SPECIFIC to their learning needs.

Another software linked from 100 teaching tips website; this one may be closer to assistive technology side but none the less is great to learn about
http://www.wordlogic.com/products/wordlogic_predictive_keyboard_desktop_features.asp
Found an interesting software, a web browser that you download and has been created specifically for autistic children (reduces sensory overload and narrows focus) plus can be used with wii remote for balance and movement

Was suggested to look at this thread on Classroom2.0 about teachers already using iTouch in the classroom.
http://www.classroom20.com/group/macclassroom20/forum/topics/649749:Topic:103645
Found the presentations supporting documents for using iTouch in the classroom. Great ideas!

Since I am finding an overwhelming amount of information I think I will break my searches down and focus on about 2-3 products I will feature in my final presentation. This was a k12 online conference about the iPod touch.

Found the concrete research necessary to explain why teachers need to spend time learning about tools and devices that will assist students.

Linked from previous was this blog of providing articles, research, assessment, Learning Styles, and Special Needs. I found the website layout difficult and not appealing so most information was lost but I found one useful link.

From Karen's wiki she provided a link to TeachingTips.com which has a post '100 Useful Tools for Special Needs Students & Educators'. At this point I am overwhelmed with tools, links and services.

This wiki space was created by Karen Janowski and is the BEST resource for UDL technology examples in the classroom.

First of the links from @njtechteacher. Blog post titled "Ten Free UDL Tools you may not be using as much as you should" by Ira Socol. Examples are easy to use by all teachers!

Got a fantastic reply on Twitter that seems to be exactly what I was searching for.
I re-tweeted asking for resources as I am still floundering finding what I had initially set out to get
This is the follow up video from Sir Ken Robinson and once again is a fantastic speech! Am thinking maybe I could create a section in my final project about theories/concepts that would help get a person in the right mindset with regards to education.

From the Wikispace the linked the talked by Sir Ken Robinson @ TED.com. Since I had seen already I was unsure what resources it would provide.

After going back to Karen's website, I redirected my searches and am now on a wikispace created for Assistive Technology. Hopefully this will lead me to more discovering.

Found a resource from Karen's blogs but am unsure how to work it into the final layout as it isn't much of software or device

Tried to branch off with my research and tweeted to followers of the #ecmp455. Am unsure that I worded my question right so may need to redo tomorrow.
After spending time on the OATS website found that while the software was useful it was not applicable to the focus of this project, so back to the drawing board!

Found this article online printed from the U of S paper the Sheaf. It gives a summary about the proposed cut from the Sask Party.

Through Karen's site was directed to the OATS (Open Source Assistive Technology software) website. Content a little overwhelming and unsure how useful it will be but looking into various softwares.

My beginning website.

I began research into my What do you Want to Learn project. Thinking of going along the lines of assistive technology either with software or current devices on the market that can be altered.

This video that I watched last year was the beginning point for this project.
