The new year has been off to a great start for Jack! He is starting the transition from bottles to sippy cups and is working on his fifth tooth! He is starting to use his sign language - he mastered "all done" and quickly got "milk" when it appeared in his sippy cup for dinner. He can stand by himself briefly, so maybe his first steps are just around the corner. Change seems to be his new motto!

Happy Halloween and Happy Holidays!! Jack had a great time at his fun playgroup party and trick or treating! He did fall asleep before we could get back home, but isn't that a sign of a really great party?

He seems happy, but I think it is because more peas are on him rather than in his tummy...

Hi! Its me, Jack! Me and my buddy Davis have been venturing into the swamp. It isn't too dangerous... just lots of mosquitos. It really is a great place to hang out - much better to be around gators than, say, bulldogs, blue devils, or vols. The only thing better is cheering for the DEACS!

Jack is LOVING his veggies! Well, he likes everything except Sweet Potatoes, just like his Grandpa Steve. He eats squash, carrots, and green beans! He is also eating loads of oatmeal. I (Fat Maggie McBratwurst - don't ask. Well, I got this name because I ate not one but TWO brats off the kitchen table...) am very happy that Jack is eating so much because as you can see, most of it does not make it into his mouth.

he has to wear shades! Jack went to Sullivan's Island over Labor Day! He loved the gulley :)

One of the Village People showed up the other day with his hiking boots on and wanted to build us a deck! He hired Marv on to be his supervisor, and I (Maggie) like to sit and watch from inside where it is nice and cool. First we had to move the Gardenia bushes, and we added some butterfly bushes too. There's a picture of one of our first visitors! Its going to be great when it is all done! We can't wait for some totally awesome cookouts on the deck this fall! Come and visit us and see it for yourself!

Jack is six months, and after traveling from Florida to Michigan, we are getting settled in again. He is eating cereal, and starting veggies next week! He can roll over, find his feet, and is working hard to sit up. In a nutshell, Jack is the best!

Here is a picture of me and my new friends. We go to the pool and let our mommies chat. It's really fun! In case you can't find me, I am second from the right, eating my hands. They are tasty!

Hello Everyone! It's me, Jack! My mom thinks I am napping (I'm good at not sleeping these days...) but really I wanted to try out my typing skills. Yesterday was the 4th, and we had a great time. I spent the morning playing in my totally awesome new exer-saucer from my "great" Aunt Nancy, Uncle Joe, and cool cousins Megan and Timmy (who I am very sad not to be hanging out at the lake with this weekend). Marv is really jealous that he doesn't have one of these to play with. He likes all my toys. One day we will share. Later on, Trey and Luckie came over to play in the yard with my parents. I had to take a nap, and am not ready for this sweet slip and slide. Trey and Daddy got some great distance. Too bad it isn't longer... It will be perfect for me as soon as I am ready to walk!Luckie brought over these great new sunglasses. I've never worn glasses before but will definitely wear these to my pool group on Mondays. How do I look? Oh no - I think I hear mommy coming. I'd better get back to my crib and pretend to be asleep. I hope you had a very happy 4th of July!

We just got home from a fabulous week in the Palmetto State. Jack had a great trip and got to see his entire family (both sides!) as well as where he will one day call home (hopefully!). Here is our week in pictures:Marv learned to swim at the lake! He did a great job, and was thankful that David was there to rescue him when he pooped out...Grandma Mandy, G.P., and Grand-Daddy Steve were there to give Jack lots of loving! Rah and Boo came for dinner on Mother's Day, too! After an awesome time in the upstate, we headed down to Charleston (stopping to see Aunt Sarah along the way!). Jack got to see all of the McKillops at once! It was a great time :) He also got to meet Uncle Andrew and Aunt Lauren and share special times with them. We had a great time catching up with Jim, Amanda, Pam and Willy along the way. Willy made crazy faces that Jack LOVED and Jim had him cooing by the end of the week! Jack met so many fun people, he didn't know what to do with himeself!Jack went to the beach for the first time, too. We had the best time!Marv sums it up best... "Jusht happy to be here, guysh!" We can't wait to come back!

The Hansons came to meet Jack this month! Jack loves his cousins. We had a great visit, especially when Marv went to the "spa" at the dog park.

Jack had a great "girls" weekend and loved meeting his aunts. We had a great visit, and Aunt Sarah was excellent at protecting Jack from alligators at Lake Alice!

Grandma Mandy came to visit us! Jack loved to be held, rocked, and sung to all week long. He misses his Grandma Mandy's kisses and can't wait to see her again! We all love you, especially Marv who is tring hard to stay off the furniture and on his mat during dinner time.
