Thanksgiving 2010 in East Lansing has no followers yet. Be the first one to follow.
-miles traveled: around 15
-states and cities visited: 0. I was staying...
-types of transportation used (cars, planes, trains, etc.): bike, my friend's car, and on my foot
-money spent: $30
-relatives you saw: 3, all through Skype
-record something unusual, like how many pounds of food you ate, whatever, to add some spice to your storytelling.: I just feel it is cool that I ate better, slept better than last year.
-shoot a video: umm, that's really nothing to show.
-take photos: I got one from last year, but...
-I have a MAP! Check it below.

So that was basically what I've done over the Thanksgiving break. In all, staying in a college town over the break was probably not a good idea, though I don't really have the $$$ to change the status quo. But overall I felt better than least year's Thanksgiving break, so I guess everything was fine.
My roommate came back his full bag of cleaned clothings. I greeted his dad.
I went outside with the hope to bring home some story ideas for my JRN class. Turned out I was at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Too bad. Travel Distant: 5 miles ? Transportation: bike
I really can't recall what did I do that morning. I think I switched over to Discovery Channel and watch there hours of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe, two hours of Deadliest Catch, with some episodes of Mythbusters.
At that point I realized I haven't gone out of my dorm for a whole 24 hours. I decided I need some fresh air, so I took my bike and rode around East Lansing a bit. What I saw was striking... there was nobody here and the downtown East Lansing looked like an abandoned oasis (except a lot colder.)
Once again I ruined my sleep schedule, so when everyone else was ready to go back home for a long-delayed rest, I woke up and made myself a brunch.
Just as I was desperately looking for my can opener for some Campbell soup, my friend Yuan called me to see if I want to go to the FREE Thanksgiving dinner at Spartan Village with him. Why on earth would a college student say no to some free food? So he came to my place and rode me there. I think I should give a big thank all the good people who made this happened: The International Students Association, Council of Graduate Students, Graduate Employees Union. and University Apartments Council of Residents. Thank you you all for such a great dinner!!
Total traveling distant: 5 miles
Transportation: my friend gave me a round trip

So this is the Thanksgiving day that everyone was waiting for. I woke up at 11 in the morning and had no clue why the campus was so quiet..,. lol I think President Obama pardoned a lucky turkey that day, but I wasn't paying attention to CSPAN. Here's the photo, from Getty.
Came back from Meijer with a backpack of grocery that helped me survived the break. Total traveling distant: 5.84 miles. Transportation: CATA. Photo: what I bought for last year's Thanksgiving... This year I wasn't excited enough to take some pics of canned food.
So I can watch TV over my (messy) desk during the break.
My PLS recitation session and JRN 203 was canceled. Thank you professors!!
