In the simulation, I lived to be 94 years of age.
Standard of living means how good the living is in a certain country. My standard of living in Cameroon started out pretty good because my family had jobs but then as i got older and my family members died it got worse and worse. Here are 3 things from my REal Life that show my standard of lifing in Cameroon:1) We moved to a better house because we had enough money to pay for it and it had better living conditions. 2) we gave money to charity because we didn't need it as much as they did. 3) once i lost my job we had to move back to a smaller house and couldnt give much money to charity. Colonization has influenced the standard of living in this country in the following 2 ways 1) now, they wont take the resources that people in Cameroon need to get money. 2) They wont take their land so they can make money farming.
GDP meants Gross Domestic Product. The per capita GDP in Cameroon is 2.9% As a nurse in Cameroon i am making $112.82 in U.S. dollars.
One difficulty i faced in my life was malnutrition. Here is a detail about malnutrition. This is common in Cameroon. 54.1 percent of Cameroon's children have stunted growth because of malnutritionThis disease impacts the country of Cameroon because our population gets lower because so many people die from malnutrition each year.
Literacy rate means how how many people can read and write. The literacy rate in Cameroon is 67.9% Something that happened in my "Real Life" that illustrates this education level is I only graduated from trade school and didnt go to college or any other kind of school. This is the choice most people choose.
My life expectancy in Cameroon is 54 years compared to 78 years in United States. One reason for this difference in life expectancy could be that there are less jobs that pay a lot, and less health care for if your sick. Two details about my life in Cameroon are 1) much of my family has died a long time ago including my 2) I speak Basaa as my main language.
One difficulty i faced in my life was a famine. A detail about this famine is that about 250,000 people are affected by the famine. This isnt really common but it wasn't a surprise because It's a result of two decades of the economy decreasing. It will not be easy for CAmeroon to recover from this because so many people ahve died or been affected. Cameroon has been impacted by this because now Cameroon's Government is in deeper debt.
The reason Cameroon became independant from the French and Germans is because West Cameroon and East cameroon joined together instead of two ruled by Germans and french they are the Federated Republic of Cameroon. Despite becoming indepent, one way germany and france influence is still seen is the main languages of Cameroon are English and France.
Before Europeans, Cameroon was colonized by the germans until 1916. The germans wanted Cameroons lant because their land has timber and hydropower. Cameroon also is great for farming. The climate is terrain to some tropical on the coast to semiarid and hot in the north.
