The 2011 NFL Draft is the marquee event for the rookies entering the NFL. The team with the worst record picks first overall and this procedure carries on over a set number of days.
The Free Agency period is normally a frenzy as all 32 teams battle it out to sign the best players available, normally with big money deals.
This was when Free Agency was supposed to start, but with no Collective Bargaining Agreement in place the NFL has been locked out.
The build up to the draft begins as more than 300 top prospects are invited to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.
This and the draft are two events not affected by the current CBA situation.
