Patrick Henry gave a speech criticizing King George, and parliament. Speaking of King George he mentioned "Caesar had his Brutus, Charles the First his Cromwell and King George?" then interrupted by listeners shouting "Treason!" Patrick calmed down and said "If this be treason, make the most of it."
These were members of congress sincerely devoted to duty, and King George's law and government, and attached to the present and impending misfortunes of the British colonies on this continent.
