I am a Barbie Girl.
This is what I have been doing on my summer vacation. I finished my first book.
This weekend I went to Kate’s Birthday party. She had a big jumpy room that I got to play in. And I got to eat cupcakes, and push a baby stroller down her slide, and wear a pointy hat. It was fun.
Today is my friend Kate’s birthday. Join me in singing her “Happy Birthday”.*

I’m pretty good at reading. I have created a video of myself reading some of the classics, such as
“Quack! Quack!”, by Louise Rupnick; and
the appropriately named Green Eggs and Ham (I Can Read It All by Myself Beginner Books), by Dr. Suess
It’s better than yogurt!
I really like to jump around.
I really like to jump around.
We had a great Thanksgiving. I helped mommy make brownies.
Here are our pumpkins this year.
I’m a big Steelers Fan, apparently. Today’s flashback photo is me in a basket of laundry. I guess that must be the way Mommy used to wash me. I’m glad I get to take a bath now.
I scare Daddy sometimes.
We had our Halloween party this year. I was a bunny. I got to draw on our patio door with markers, and eat tons of crackers. Halfway through the party I slimed the camera with my bunny goo. You can see it in the last two pictures. Hee, hee.
Today’s flashback picture is me in my Halloween costume last year.
Well, it’s been a long week and we are a few days closer to Halloween. Today’s pictures are of me in my overalls shelving some books and some pictures of me and my fruit. Today’s flashback picture is of me sleeping (Boring!).
Sorry I have been MIA. I got sick on Wednesday. I almost threw up on Mommy right before she had to go to work. Daddy said that he wishes he had a picture of that. Anyhow, today’s pictures are me learning to get dressed and Papa and I reading.
Today’s flashback picture is daddy holding me up (nope, still can’t walk).
Today’s picture is of me a year ago being “Dope”. Hah! It’s funny how fads fade away. See how silly I looked?
The rest of the pictures are from Nana and Papa’s visit, my hippo wrangling, and Trick-or-Treating. Mostly, there are pictures of me showing Papa how to stay active. Wee.
These are from the start of my Nana and Poppa’s visit. You can’t really see them, except for Nana in the background of one of the pictures. The picture from last year is from September of 2006. Still couldn’t walk.
I have some arts and crafts photos from school. These pictures are from late August along with the first picture of me from a year ago.
Hey guys. Sorry I have taken some time off, but I have been visiting family at my Aunt Corinne’s wedding and playing with my Nana and Papa over the last month and I have been terribly busy.
We are wrapping up the year of the POTD’s. We started this around the beginning of November last year and October 31st seems like a fitting time to end this excitement. I will keep posting pictures but since I am not changing as much I will shoot for around one to two posts a week instead of one picture every workday. With this less grueling schedule of posting you should start to see some more videos instead as well.
To end this escapade I will be posting larger groups of photos with a picture of me from a year ago in a, sort of, grand finale. Today’s post is of older pictures of me at school from late August along with a picture of me from late August last year. Boy I have changed. I couldn’t even walk then.
My Aunt Corinne got me some shoes back when she was “in ‘Nam”. They finally fit and I love them. I’m wearing them to school tomorrow.
I’m also practicing trick-or-treating. Daddy is going to take me this year. Last year I was too young.
I got a hold of daddy’s boots the other day. I’m ready to help mow the lawn now.
Dressing up is an adventure with me. I am trying this dress on for size. I like to see if it restricts my ability to run before I purchase.
Today is school picture day. Here is a preview of my outfit. This hat is so versatile.
My mommy bought me a nice sweater and hat over the weekend. I even picked out the hat myself, it’s nice.
Sorry, posts will be sporadic over the next month. It is daddy’s busy month at work.
On Sundays Mommy and I clip coupons. It is fun to save money.
Have a great weekend and stay cool everyone!
Here I am just climbing on a big pacman looking thing. Daddy rolled me around on this while I sat down.
I liked to play with the balls and look at the other baby in the mirror. She follows me everywhere.
I will be doing another week dedicated to a single topic. Currently I am taking gymnastics so that I can be in the ‘lympics. Today you will see me ramping up on my new skills.
I have my first set of pajamas. They are purple and that is my cousin Kailey’s favorite color. It is also my daddy’s fraternity color. And they have bunnies on them. I had to introduce Bunny Foo-Foo to my pajama bunnies. I’m pretty much a big girl now. Also, I’m starting to whistle now.
Have a great weekend!
I really like yogurt right now. It is one of my favorite foods. Daddy makes me let him give me kisses before I can have bites. He likes to give me lots of kisses. He says it’s because I’m so sweet. Boys!
This picture is from my friend Keegan’s birthday party. I had fun there.
Oh yeah, we saw a pony before we left. I think I want one. Maybe for Christmas.
Day two of our zoo trip. Today we focus on the Meerkats and spend a bit of time playing in the adobe hut area. I liked that because the adobe huts had doors my size.
Last week I went to the zoo and my daddy took a whole bunch of pictures (about 117), so this week will be a themed week. Each day will be a different section of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. Today is our visit with the giraffes. They had a new baby and she is much taller than me.
I am practicing talking on the phone. I hear a lot of teenagers do it, and mommy and daddy seem to like to do this too.
Sometimes daddy puts that little box on the ground and I like to try to get it to see why he finds it so fascinating.
And now we bring you this A&W commercial by Mary.
The week is over, what a drag.
I am learning a bunch of new stuff. Here I am practicing saying “no”.
Sometimes I help around the house. I push in my chair and bring my dishes to daddy when I am done.
Here are some random shots from the weekend. I crawl into my stroller by myself when I want to go for a walk. Also, I can be pretty insistent when I want to be put down.
I got to wear my sailor outfit today. My Aunt Corinne got this for me when she was in Vietnam. It was a dress but it fits quite swimmingly as a shirt.
I often travel with my homies to the park were we be playin’. Mommy and Daddy have been taking me to the park quite a bit lately, it is something about wearing me out. I like climbing the rock wall and going down the curly slide by myself.
Playing in the sink is my new joy. I like to stir my soup, splash, and make bubbles (I should note that I can now say “bubbles” too). When we get a lot of bubbles daddy makes us tiaras and I am a princess. We get extremely wet and then I am cold so we change clothes.
In the mornings I like to have a few blueberries, some cereal, and a bottle of milk. I also like to help daddy carry his lunch box to his car. He would be lost without me.
Mommy lets me play with her shoes some times. I show her how they go on your feet and then she chases me. It is great fun.
How can one little girl be so sad, yet look so great? When I get sad , or tired, I like to pull on bunny’s ears. His pain, makes me happy again.
Lately I have been carrying tons of things around the house (don’t worry I always bend at the knees). I like to be helpful. Yup, if it’s a chair you need pushed from the dining room into the kitchen, a stool that needs to be moved and dropped into the entryway, or garbage that needs to be removed from the garbage can, I’m your gal.
Mommy rewards me with zerberts.
Oh and then the other day I was totally telling daddy all about my day and I was trying to say the word prestidigitation (I always have troubles with that one) and suddenly I realized that my pants were down. Ooops.
I am eating off a spoon by myself now. Mostly with pudding and yogurt. Oh! pudding is fantastic. You have to try some. Chocolate is my favorite.
