• Pickney's Treaty
  Oct 1795

  4. Settled the border and trade disputes with Spain. Gave the U.S after time.

• Jay's Treaty
  Nov 1794

  3. Settled the problems between the U.S and Great Britain. Ended most hard feelings after the Revolutionary war.

• Nuetrality Proclamation
  Apr 1793

  5. Stated that the U.S. would not go to war with any European country. Saved the U.S. from getting deeper into debt from war and let the U.S. gain a stronger army for future wars.

• XYZ Afair
  Mar 1789

  1. The french demand for a bribe called the XYZ Afair. Showed that the U.S. would not go to war in debt.
