On November 9th the wall that seperated east Berlin to West Berlin fell. The fall of the Brelin wall sybolised that the cold warwas finally over.

On April 30th, the North Vietnamese Army took over Saigon with little resistance, and it was quickly renamed Ho Chi Minh City in honor of their revolutionary leader. Ho Chi Minh died several years before.
In 1969 President Nixon began making moves to establish some level of relations with the China. In April the Chinese invited the American ping-pong team to China. On February 21st, 1972 Nixon arrived in Peking for a seven-day stay.
Tet offence is a serise of suprise attacks by the Vietcong and North Vietnamese forces on scores of cities, towns, and hamlets throughout South Vietnam. It was considered to be a turning point in the Vietnam War.

The Berlin wall was put up because more than 2.6 millon people ecaped to west Berlin. The reason why the poeple ecaped was because life on the west side was better. West Gremany got financial aid from the Marshall Plan.
The Bay of Pigs Fiasco was intended to provoke popularity for an uprisng against Fidel Castro. The planning of the Bay of Pigs started in 1960. Before diplomatic ties with Cuba were broken. In all the Bay of Pigs fiasco didn't go vary well.

This is about a senetor from Wisconsin. He had a list of two hundered and five poeple that were thought to be communist. And everybody beliveved he and he changed those poeples lives for a long time. And once the issue died down all those people were able to go back to work.

In 1950 North Korea invated South Korea.Throughout the summer of 1950 the United Nations tried to stop North Koreas fast moving army. Than South Korea got into North Korea and they thought they were gonna win untill china got invovled. the Korean war ended in 1953 and everybody was where they started nobdoy gained any land.

NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. it was a military alliance of countries from Europe and North America promising collective defence. Currently numbering 26 nations, NATO was formed initially to counter the communist East and has searched for a new identity in the post-cold war.
The Marshall Plan was to foster economic recovery in Europ after World War II. It started when Goerge Marshall urged that European countries decide on their economic needs so that material and financial aid from the United States could be integrated on a broad scale. In offically started in April 1948 When president Truman signed the act establishing the Economic Cooperation Administration (ECA) to administer the program. In all the Marshall Plan was a success.

The Truman Doctrine was a foreign policy of the United States to assist any country whose stability was threatened by communism. His initial request was specifically for $400 million to assist both Greece and Turkey, which Congress approved.
