• Columbia Records
  Feb 25, 1925

  The first electronically recordings were made by Columbia. Edwin Armstrong made groundbreaking inventions which included the FM radio, which allowed long distance broadcasting.

• Electrical Sound Recording

  Electrical recording was introduced and revolutionized the industry. The sound transition included the microphone and speakers. Mixing desk was designed for the amplification and modification of electrical sound signals. Sound on film was created to put sound on film.

• Electronic Amplifier

  Edwin Armstrong created the electronic amplifier which boosted the sounds made by instruments. In present day they are used for electric guitars.
