A group of African American students who were enrolled into Little Rock Cental High School. On their first day of school, troops from the Arkansas National Guard would not let them enter the school and they were followed by mobs making threats to lynch(hang) them.
he led the Brooklyn Dodgers to six National League titles and one victory in the World Series. He was awarded Rookie of the year, Most Valuable Player and had an invitation for the Hall of Fame. He was also known as a civil rights activist, he worked with several different civil rights movement leaders including Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr.
