• Pequot War

  Indians were devastated by diseases and epidemics. The Settlers than took their land by force. After a Pequot was accused of murder the Massachusetts and Connecticut colonists burned the Indian village and slaughtered everyone. The Pequot chief organized the survivors and counterattacked, hundred of Pequots were killed and the survivors were sold into slavery. In 1638 the Pequot Nation was dissolved.
