Joshua Elwood Kallberg, 33, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence after troopers noticed him fail to signal a turn Saturday on Trice Road near Ballaine Road. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.159, almost two times the legal limit of 0.08 to operate a motor vehicle. He also was charged with driving with a revoked license and driving without insurance.

Peter Sanford Wholecheese, 51, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence after Fairbanks police received a report of a man hitting a parked car early Friday at the Arctic Bar.
A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.279.

Cheryl Leann Shupe, 42, of North Pole was charged with driving under the influence after North Pole police spotted her speeding Saturday on Santa Claus Lane near Fifth Avenue in North Pole. A chemical test found her breath-alcohol content to be 0.186.

Louis Muniz Chavez, 44, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence after Alaska State Troopers noticed him fail to signal a turn Saturday near Mile 10 Steese Highway. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.149.

Clark H. Simpson, 55, of Fairbanks was charged with felony driving under the influence after airport police observed him driving erratically Saturday on Airport Way near the Mitchell Expressway on-ramp.
Simpson, who smelled of alcohol and had poor dexterity, attempted to pull away from the officer while being handcuffed, according to a criminal complaint filed in court. He also was charged with felony refusal to submit to a chemical test, resisting arrest, and driving with a revoked license.
He has twice been convicted of driving under the influence within the past 10 years, the first time in September 2003, and the second time earlier this month.

Robert Bruce Hart, 57, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence after University of Alaska Fairbanks Police witnessed him make an improper turn Saturday onto Airport Way from University Avenue. Hart, who smelled of alcohol and bloodshot eyes, had a loaded pistol in his truck at the time of his arrest, according to a criminal complaint filed in court. He also was charged with weapons misconduct and refusal to submit to a chemical test.

Max Sovalik, 53, of Fairbanks was charged with driving under the influence after Fairbanks police noticed him make a wide turn Friday on Cushman Street near 11th Avenue. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.228.

Randy W. Preshaw, 23, of Fairbanks was charged with felony driving under the influence after he tried to drive home from the Oasis Bar early Friday.
A cab driver was called for Preshaw and a second person he had been drinking with, but when they arrived, he had be chased around and eventually he got in his truck and drove off. The cabbie followed him, and Preshaw soon put the truck in park while it was still going about 30 mph, disabling it. A UAF police officer was called to the scene, and Preshaw was taken to hospital because of concerns about his level of his intoxication.
A preliminary breath-test found that he was nearly four times the legal limit of 0.08. He also was charged with felony refusal to submit to a chemical test. Preshaw has two previous DUI convictions within the past 10 years, the first in June 2006, and the second occurred last month.
