CAMP submits a new proposal for re-funding for academic year 2012 through 2017. Notable changes in the proposal compared to the current approved grant are: CAMP proposes to serve 45 students instead of 50; Program objectives reduced to five which includes a measure for enrolling students interested in STEM majors at UTB

This is the second time CAMP hosts the Student Leadership Conference. 84 participants attended the event; participants traveled from CAMP at TAMIU, West Texas A&M, UT-Pan American and UTB CAMP.
Jorge Hernandez is the new CAMP Secretary and a CAMP alumnus from 2006
UTB CAMP almuni Tania Benavidez was featured in a short video about her life as a migrant growing up in Brownsville, Texas and her college experience related to CAMP. Tania provides students with advice on how to succeed in college.

OME Program Officers Bonnie Cote and Dr. Sam Harris traveled to UTB CAMP for a two-day site visit. The follow up report on findings sent to CAMP in August of 2010 noted no required actions needed and reported several program accomplishments.

Located in the UTB/TSC Lightner Center, CAMP is funded to serve 70 migrant seasonal farmworker students. Original staff include: Dr. Hilda Silva (Principal Investigator), Sandra Rubio (Director), Eddie Ramirez (Student Development Specialist), Sylvia Padron (Learning Instructional Specialist) and Robert Contreras (Secretary). CAMP reported to Dr. Deborah Huerta (Counseling Center, Student Affairs).
