ARW Spring Teaching Resources has no followers yet. Be the first one to follow.
At just 4.5 minutes and including a nice interactive transcript, this might be a good video to throw into our media/critical thinking unit in Spring.
Might be interesting to connect to the "subversive" point of Meiland. What do ELP students think about a conflict between an student activist group that wants to make a point and a university that doesn't want classes disrupted by protests.

The "Life in Japan" section of the Japan Times is a quick street survey of views on argumentative issues.
In ARW or ASP or AASP, we could ask students to put together a page like this with photos and quotes on issues the students choose and research with interviews on campus
Just in case you are looking for a juicy current events argument for your students to analyze and react to.

May be interesting to use for analysis?
I only did a few, but it looks like very good practice!
I gave students this link just as a reference to the students movements in the new Meiland text.
