The iPad 2, like all of Apple's products, is a polarizing device; either you can live within its limitations or you cannot. There is nothing revolutionary found in the second iteration of the world's best selling tablet, but the evolutionary upgrades do augment an already solid offering. Are they enough to make you pry out the credit card though? Let's begin with pros and cons of the trimmed down iPad 2. iPad 2 Pros: * Great media experience * Unparalleled mobile browsing * Thin design * Tremendous app support iPad 2 Cons: * No Flash support (across all iOS powered devices) * OS, while eloquent, feels antiquated * Camera quality (photo and video) is awful. Really bad. Best For: People who want to bring their mobile experience to a larger screen. iPad 2 Smart Cover Review - Worth it? For all your tech news: www.technobuffalo.com Apple opted to totally redesign the official iPad cover this year as they felt the previous one covered the first model too much, and it was a shame to hide the device away after putting all that work into the design. So, this year, we get the Smart Covers. ipad-2-smart-covers-colors Through the use of magnets, the Smart Cover stays in place on the iPad 2, and will even wake the device up when you peel it back, and put it back to sleep when you fold it back over the front. Thanks to the microfiber lining of the inside of the front cover, your screen should stay clean due to it wiping it every time you move it. Like the first cover, you can fold this one around to the back to prop up the device at different angles for viewing of the screen. The most notable issue is that it doesn't cover the back panel, so we'll have to see how badly your tablet may still get scratched. It may not be the best choice for those who carry their iPad 2 around with them every where they go, and you may want to wait for another option. What do you think? Is the Smart Cover the choice for you to protect your new investment?
