This year's art Exhibition includes a photography category as a result of the photography aspect of the ICT curriculum. Theme 'Water"
Activboards in every room except ICT. Staff being trained in-house using expetise of Anja Kingston and Barbara Hendersen. All purchased through fundraising. 6 mini Acers in each Year 5-6 classroom. 2 in ICT room. 20 held in Room 9 for Year 4 use. 1 for Special Needs use. Proving to be worthwhile investment. Students use them as often as possible. Creates high engagement. Now using e-asttle for testing. Digital cameras, 1 in every junior classroom, plus Room 6 and 7. A pod of 10 held in ICT room for booking by classes. Sound system in every room All teachers have laptops We have 58 PC computers across the school including 1 and a projector in the hall for assemblies. We have an ICT suite-older computers We have 2 corridor pods - 3 years and less computers predominantly PRINTER/PHOTOCOPIERS – networked. One each in Puriri and Kowhai corridors and one in the Resource Room. Sound pedagogy underpinning ICT Assessment done via computer/internet – e-asstle Mathletics (subsidised by the school – cost to school ?? )available to all students from Years 3 – 6. Cost to parents $10/child. External Hard-drive with terrabyte storage installed 2008 to meet the demands of multimedia technology Server upgraded January 2010. Wireless Capability installed via Rukus system beginning 2009. Library and ICT room included with a booster. We have a G&T room – Room 10 All teachers have attended Activboard Training and work collaboratively across the school to assist each other in using this resource to enhance learning. It is a resource that is being used more and more as a child centred resource so that the students use it for group work. 3 data projectors/ 4 screens. Multimedia - IT integrated across curriculum and used in a variety of ways. Video reflection used by teachers for professional development learning conversations. Staff using IT in own presentations. Grant from Lion Foundation to purchase a set of Lego NXT Robots. Goal to enter a team in 2011 Robocup.
All students from Year 3 now have their own webpage on our school website. A place to display and celebrate their learning.

It is necessary to increase capacity. Teachers will then be able to access Student Management Systems from home. Mathletics for whole school at $15/head. Paid for by parents in stationery list. Spellodrome – online spelling programme created by same people who do Mathletics. Trial. E-asstle (online) testing from Year 4 using the mini laptops. Photography exhibition 2010 ‘TV’ STUDIO using high quality webcams in ICT room – linked to Activboards Developing web capability via our new and improved school website. Each child to update own webpage Mini-Acer laptops, currently 30 increase to 50. 10/room in Kowhai. 6 in Room 5 Year 4 trial of parents personal leasing at $30/month. (won't affect schools 10% leasing line) Two Year 4 classess digital. Introduce mini-laptops in Year 4 so the children will have them for the 3 year term.

Dedicated ICT teacher all classes bar Year 1's have 1 hour ICT time per week. Activboards now in Rooms 7 and 8 and 9 Parent/Teacher ICT committee established. Year3/4 digital classroom for 2009.
Room 9 established with our first Activboard. This was just the beginning. Staff professional development in using Activboard. Plan for Year 3/4 digital classroom using leased mini-Acer laptops. Lease 30 mini Acers.
Jenny was long time teacher at Ponsonby. Led school ICT in 2000 then ICTPD contract faciltiator 2001-2003
7 staff attended NAVCON conference Christchurch.
Kids using technology held on Saturday in October each year.
Resulted in Diploma of Education Technology
Blair was the team leaader or Puriri. His study enabled the school to review practices.
Value $360,000 over 3 years for 7 schools.
Extend the skills of the students in senior school. Prov Dev continues with a number of teachers integrating computers successfully and innovatively programmes. Ancillary staff encouraged to use computers to improve the individual programmes for ORRS and Special Needs children. 6 new computers, 2 networked printers colour and laser. Pod in of 6 corridors Every class - jetstreamed Acceptable use policy for students reviewed for the following years use. Website developed by Principal. ICT leader seconded to UNELI project for 2002. ICT was now embedded in the school, staff and students enthusiastic using IT. constructivist approach to teaching and learning developing.
Full school networked. Students sign IT license for student access. ICT Moe grant approved Prof dev for staff continues. IT leader released .5 student and staff upskilling in library. Word processing and use of digital camera the focus. Shift in employing new staff with skill and interest in using ICT in class programmes.
Junior school networked on Netday. 5 computers purchased for classes Pod of 6 laptops leased for senior staff. Internet/email dial up in library only. 3 digital cameras/1 digital video New Era IT came on board re school IT future and networking Prof dev for teaching staff began
